Teemu Laasanen, who has been the festival director of the Mikkeli Music Festival since 2018, will fully take over the management of the company he has founded, MusicFairyTales MFT, of which he is the CEO. MusicFairyTales is in a strong growth phase, and at the end of 2022, the company received significant support from the Ministry of Education and Culture to develop a service that combines music and digital technologies. During Teemu Laasanen's tenure, the Mikkeli Music Festival has been renewed, and has gained the status of an internationally significant cultural event. "I have been privileged to participate in the development of the Mikkeli Music Festival. I wish the wonderful event all the best in the future as well", says Laasanen.

The summer 2023 program for the Mikkeli Music Festival has been published, and ticket sales have started at the end of 2022.
