Introduction
For the love of improvisation
Improvising – performing without preparation – was always an irrefutable trademark of the great masters up to the time of Johannes Brahms. With "The Big B's", the Janoska Ensemble presents the music of those composers who mastered this discipline: Bach, Beethoven, Brahms – all "patron saints" and role models of the Janoska Ensemble. So, what could be more obvious to name the new album after these "B's" and at the same time to look for other B's? Bartók, Bernstein, Brubeck other B's were quickly discovered, and they are equally important for the title "The Big B's".
The Janoska Ensemble creates new, never-before-heard synergies, bridges between the original and its modern interpretation paired with a fusion of improvisation and creativity: in short, the Janoska style.
