Introduction
For the first time, the opening festivities of Mikkeli Music Festival will take place in the green park of Mikkelipuisto. The Chairman of the Board, Markus Tykkyläinen, will open the event, and the Artistic Director, Erkki Lasonpalo, will present the summer 2023 programme of the festival.
At the opening ceremony, two awards will be given; the Young Artist of the Year.
St Michel Strings is conducted by Aliisa Neige Barrière, one of Finland's newest star conductors.
