Pianist Tuula Hällström has ever since the beginning of her carreer been fascinated by ensemble playing. Collaboration with singers took her already in the start of her solist studies in Sibelius Academy. So since in 1999 she won the only lied-piano competition held in Finland, she has worked and performed with various singers and has as a pianist been in very high demand in voice competitions, opera productions and singing masterclasses.
Since 2005 Hällström has been an accompanist for vocal music, opening the language of musical dialogue to our young singers.
In 2017 Hällström debuted with soprano Tuuli Takala at a finnish music release "tuulia" as a part of "Suomi 100" -jubilee. Album "Songs of Late Summer" where Hällström performes the vocal music of Yrjö Kilpinen and Mikko Heiniö with basso Sami Luttinen came out in 2019 as did "Ilkka Kuusisto" album that she did with Mari Palo and Waltteri Torikka and "Joulutarina" -christmas album that she did with Eija Ahvo and Juho Punkeri.
