Maritta Manner

Maritta Manner is a versatile music professional who holds a Master of Music degree and a qualification in music pedagogy from the Sibelius Academy. She has specialized in both vocal music and theatre music, while also enjoying extensive work in chamber music and contemporary music.

In addition to performing in a wide variety of concerts and productions, she works as a lecturer in musical theatre at the University of the Arts Helsinki and at Tampere University of Applied Sciences. She is also active in numerous theatres and is currently working with Tampere Workers' Theatre, Samppalinna Summer Theatre, and Finnish National Theatre. In recent years, she has also worked with Svenska Teatern, Alexander Theatre, Helsinki City Theatre, and Tampere Theatre.

Manner regularly performs as an accompanist at masterclasses, summer music camps, and competitions, and works as a freelance musician with various orchestras. Her ongoing ensembles include the contemporary music quartet Hai, the award-winning lied duo Punkeri & Manner, the Henrik Sandås Trio, and Tango Mono.

For Maritta, both in music and in life, the power of collaboration is of central importance.
