Antti Pimiä (b. 2008) began playing the piano at the age of 10 and has studied at the Tampere Conservatory since 2019. He was initially taught by Kristiina Kask-Valve, and since 2020 by Annika Hautamäki-Hänninen. Currently, Antti is completing his advanced studies at the conservatory. Since autumn 2024, he has also been taught by Teppo Koivisto. Antti was selected for the Youth Piano Academy in 2024.
Antti has achieved success in several piano competitions. He has been awarded prizes at the Leevi Madetoja Piano Competition in 2025 and 2022, the Pianoaura Competition in Turku (2023), the international Tapiola Piano Competition (2023), and the Pirkanmaa Piano Competition (2023).
His notable performances include the national Young Chopin event in Helsinki, the Pianoaura prize winners' concert at the Sibelius Museum in Turku, the "Sydämen asialla" charity event in Tampere, and the Valentine's Day charity concert in Akaa.
